Eco-museo Foundation

ECOMUSEO FOUNDATION: The goal of the Ecomuseum Foundation is to recover and enhance the Cantoni Stone and the Monferrato landscape in its architectural, agricultural, and forestry components, as well as to promote the regeneration of the territory. The Ecomuseum is part of the Piedmont Ecomuseum Network.

The members of the Ecomuseum Foundation are:

  • Institute for Plants of the Piedmont Region-IPLA spa
  • Foundation Banco Cassa di Risparmio of Alessandria
  • Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria
  • Municipality of Cella Monte
  • Sacred Mount of Crea Natural Park
  • Province of Alessandria and more than 25 associated municipalities of Monferrato.

The Ecomuseum Foundation is headquartered in Cella Monte, in the Monferrato area of Italy. It is located in the UNESCO-recognized site “The Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato,” characterized by viticulture culture and an extraordinary landscape, wineries, and nature shaped by the constant work of rural men and farmers.

Activities: Projects, cultural and educational events, tours around Monferrato, professional study visits with sector farmers, meetings, courses, youth exchanges, collaborations with secondary schools and universities, cultural heritage and paleontology initiatives. Additionally, it manages the museum located within Palazzo Volta, which is open to visitors and tourists.
